L’ostéopathie est une méthode de traitement qui vise à restaurer et à conserver l’équilibre structure-fonction des systèmes composant le corps humain.

Elle définit sa spécificité par son approche globale permettant l’évaluation du patient d’un point de vue mécanique, fonctionnel et postural. Le traitement ostéopathique utilise des techniques manuelles, appropriées selon les résultats de l’évaluation faite préalablement.

L’ostéopathie, s’adressant aux pathologies fonctionnelles, reconnait la nécessité d’un bilan médical pour établir l’organicité éventuelle de la pathologie présentée.

• We are members in good standing of the Nova Scotia Association of Osteopaths (NSAO)

• As a member of the NSAO, we are not an Osteopathic Physician, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO, formerly Doctor of Osteopathy), nor do we practice Osteopathic Medicine

• In Nova Scotia, Osteopathic Manual Practice is not regulated by the government, however the NSAO is actively seeking government regulation to protect the public and our profession

• Osteopathic Manual Practitioners are not members of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
